If you have a radio scanner and would like to monitor the radio traffic of the Garland Fire Department the frequencies are listed below. Be aware that the City of Garland uses an 800 Megahertz digital trunked system. This means that there is not a single radio frequency that you can tune to to hear  Fire radio transmissions. All city departments utilize the same radio system and as you listen you will hear all city departments. The system operates somewhat like a cellular telephone system in that when a unit transmits it will use the first available frequency, but the response to that unit from the dispatcher may use another frequency, therefore you may not pick up both sides of a conversation.
