I want to thank those who attended our neighborhood open house on May 19. The rest of the staff and I really appreciate the comments we received and we are working to incorporate the latest ideas. The final details are being completed this month and will be presented to the City Council in July.
Many of you have become friends over the last several months and I have so enjoyed getting to know each one of you. As you are getting to know your neighbors, exciting things are happening. Neighborhood groups are forming and the sense of empowerment and neighborhood purpose are being reborn. The feeling of neighborliness that brought many of you to Forest Ridge-Walnut is growing again. Each time you gather, the bonds become stronger and the neighborhood vision becomes ever more real. The City team stands with you to facilitate, support and encourage your groups.
If we can help in any way, please do no hesitate to call or email rogersexton@ci.garland.tx.us or me at (972)205-2119.
Have a fantastic summer!
