Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Garland Youth Council of the City of Garland, Texas, will be held at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2007, at Granger Recreation Center, 1310 W. Avenue F, Garland, Texas.
Items to be discussed:
1. Approval Minutes from September 18, 20007
2. Review of Committee Assignments & Meeting Schedules
Review of established committee missions, assignments, meeting schedules and posting requirements. Committee reports will be included.
3. Consider possible changes to Garland Youth Council ordinance
Members of the GYC will discuss potential changes to the structure of the GYC as established by City ordinance.
4. Announcements & Upcoming Events
5. Citizen Comments
Youth are encouraged to give their input on issues in the City that impact them and offer suggestions about how to address these issues. Youth Council members cannot respond to issues that are not posted on the agenda according to the Texas Opens Meetings Act.

Following the formal meeting, the GYC will conduct a preparatory session for the October 4th “Teens in the Drivers Seat” news conference.
